Surveys show that most smokers would rather quit than smoke. When we ask ourselves why we keep smoking, we find that the main reason is fear!
We are afraid that we won't have enough willpower to quit or that if we do quit, that we’ll gain weight.
We’re afraid that we won’t be able to manage stress, relax, or focus without cigarettes. We see nonsmokers enjoying their lives without cigarettes yet we can't imagine this for ourselves.
This is a big part of the smoking trap at play. Not only are we afraid that the quitting process will be difficult and painful, we are also totally convinced that our ability to enjoy life depends on smoking.
